City on a Hill is currently collecting resumes from dedicated educators with a relentless work ethic committed to urban education in the following areas: Math, English, Spanish, Science, History, Special Education, Administration, SPED Administration, Full and Part-time tutors, and Part-time Extracurriculars: Athletics, Art, Music, and Theatre.

Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field required. Certification preferred. 3 years classroom experience preferred, especially urban or charter.

Office Manager Job Description:

The Office Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s front office operations for a charter high school with 280 students. The Office Manager should be able to keep up with a fast paced work environment and changing tasks and challenges.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Answer all phones
  2. Oversees breakfast and lunch
  3. Oversees collection of free/reduced lunch forms
  4. Responsible for all aspects of copiers
  5. Develops and implements Sub Protocol
  6. Directs calls for head-of-school
  7. Coordinates the monthly All-Office Job
  8. Oversees subbing timesheets
  9. Supervises and maintains office supply inventory
  10. Department of Education meal reporting paperwork
  11. Maintains student files and transcripts
  12. Enters and maintains MacSchool (school database system) student data
  13. Attendance Coordinator, including keeping track of late-club and the cut list
  14. Oversee all aspects of automatic calling to parents due to absences/tardies
  15. Other related duties as needed
Hours are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7:15am – 4:15pm and Friday 7:15am -- 3:00pm

Anticipated start date is July 1, 2008.

Additional Qualifications:

REQUIRED:
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for City on a Hill’s mission.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal with large volume of activity and to prioritize workload.
  • Bachelors degree.
PREFERRED:
  • Applicants who are technologically savvy and can speak Spanish are preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in the areas of office management will be given preference.
