Special Education Administrator, Special Education Teacher, and English Language Learner (ELL) Administrator

Special Education Administrator
The CoaH Special Education Administrator works closely with students, teachers, and parents to support students to be successful in a rigorous college prep curriculum.
Major job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Administrator responsible for management of all aspects of City on a Hill’s Special Education department and staff
- Oversee case mangers to schedule, supervise, and chair all IEP Team meetings, IEP and 504 development, and annual reviews
- Oversee all Evaluations
- Work with case managers to serve as liaison between school and parents of disabled students
- Work with case managers to provide technical assistance to general education staff regarding learning disabled students
- Oversee all annual reporting to DOE and coordinate annual site-visits
- Conduct weekly meeting with special education staff
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and Master's degree required with Special Education Administration Certification, urban high school experience and strong writing and verbal skills are strongly preferred.
Special Education Teacher
The CoaH Special Education teacher works closely with students and teachers, and teach students to be successful in a rigorous college prep curriculum.
Major job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and implement the IST process and facilitate writing of behavior plans with mentor support from DT
- Inclusion Support
- Special Education Instruction
- Caseload Management (including Team meetings, IEPs, all required communication, and progress reports)
- All duties associated with being a member of the Learning Network and Student Services Team
- Leading Sustained Silent Reading
- Other duties assigned by the Principal and Executive Director.
ELL Administrator
The CoaH ELL Administrator ensures City on a Hill’s programs and curricula are implemented to English Language Learners in order to maximize student learning experiences and increase the achievement of LEP students.
Major job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitates the development and implementation of a detailed ESL program improvement plan through a structured process
- Determines, develops and implements an effective staff development program related to language acquisition and effective instructional practices for LEP learners.
- Caseload Management (including ELL Team meetings, all required communications, and progress reports)
- All duties associated with being a member of the Student Services Team
- Leading Sustained Silent Reading
- Other duties assigned by the Principal and Executive Director.
