Earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College
The next Urban Charter School MAT program begins fall
2012.
Simmons College and City on a Hill Charter School invite all middle and
high school charter school teachers to join a cohort of their peers to earn a
master's degree with state licensure. In the two-year program, a cohort of
full-time charter school teachers study pedagogy relevant to urban middle and high schools.
Teachers will reflect on their classrooms and methodology within a supportive
educational structure in graduate level coursework. Taught by Simmons
professors, this innovative, rigorous 36-credit program will lead to a
Master of Arts in Teaching degree with eligibility for Massachusetts initial Licensure.
Thanks to the Simmons Public Charter School Scholarship, this program is offered at
a significantly reduced tuition.
