Dear City on a Hill Families,

It’s been quite the eventful week!  We made it to the start of 4th quarter!  Thank you to everyone who has been so responsive in communicating your preferences to the school as we work to solidify our rosters for in person learning.  Rosters are now finalized and we will not be switching anymore students from remote learning to in-person.  We’ve been so happy to see our young faces in the building again!

QUARTER 3 PARENT/GUARDIAN NIGHT

Our Quarter 3 Parent/Guardian Night will take place on Thursday, April 15th, from 5:00 - 7:00pm.  Your advisor should have reached out to you via email and/or phone to schedule a time to meet with you about your students’ quarter 3 report card.  If you have not heard from them, please reach out to schedule a time to meet.  If you’re unable to meet on Thursday April 15 between 5:00 and 7:00pm, please ask your students’ advisor to meet at another time.  It is very important that every parent/guardian get a chance to see their students’ quarter 3 grades and discuss any necessary action items for quarter 4.

QUARTER 3 AWARDS CEREMONY

Our Quarter 3 Awards Ceremony will be taking place on Friday, April 16th at 11:45am.  We would absolutely love for families to join us if you can!  We will be celebrating via zoom webinar.  There will be excellence and perseverance awards for every subject as well as Honor Roll Awards, Advisory Attendance Awards, and our personal favorite, the Citizenship Awards!  As you know, we have two Citizenship Awards that go to one student in each grade level in each quarter.  The Maya Angelou Perseverance Award goes to students who have shown improvement and a will to overcome adversity.  The Thurgood Marshall Citizenship Award goes to students who show leadership and a desire to help their fellow classmates, teachers, and community.  Below is the zoom link for the Awards Ceremony!

Please be on the lookout for information about end-of-year celebrations and graduation as we are in the planning process for those exciting events.  Thank you again for all the support you’ve provided to your students and the school this year.  We can’t say it enough, but we couldn’t have done this without you!
